    The debt monster at the door was appeased when the head of the family said, it you don’t hurt us, you can settle our debt with our sons and daughters when the grow up, with interest! OK?

    Dubya tried to stop the deepening recession with a $170 billion economic stimulus package and the $700 billion Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 to bailout the failing banks, per the Austrian School of economics theories about how to avoid another Great Depression.

    During Dubya’s eight years in office, his administration was lax on regulations which led to a huge housing bubble. The bubble burst at the end 2007, and America entered the worst recession since the Great Depression, losing 2.6 million jobs.

    In May 2003, Dubya continued to defund the government with his second round of Bush Tax Cuts, which again mainly benefitted the rich. Despite this, America reelected President Bush.

    Wow. It says here the Shock and Awe campaign has cost us 2 trillion dollars so far. Thats nothing compared to the Shock and Awe your gonna feel when you see your first paycheck.

    Right after 911, Dubya took America to war in Afghanistan in Oct 2001 and a second war in Iraq in Mar 2003. These two wars have cost about $1.7 trillion, with future veteran costs of about $590 billion!

    After Florida’s 2000 election fiasco, George W (Dubya) Bush was awarded the Presidency. Dubya went about defunding the government with his first round of Bush Tax Cuts, mainly benefitting the rich.

    Once upon a time… there wasn’t a deficit. In fact there was surplus! But now after two wars and a lot of spending we have a giant tax bill we are passing on to our grandchildren. Yes both parties continue point at each other instead of working together. So their simple and obvious solution is not to worry about it, receive their paychecks and just pass it on to your generation.
